Prediction refunds P1.1
This is the short version of section 6 of the prediction terms. The terms apply if anything here is unclear. It covers prediction evaluations only; futures evaluations have their own refund policy.
No refunds once your account is created
Your evaluation account is created as soon as your payment is confirmed. From then, the fee is not refundable, whether you trade or not, pass or fail, except in the cases below. It is a fee for a simulated service, not a stake or a deposit.
At checkout you are asked to tick this box. You cannot buy without it:
I want my OmbraProp evaluation account created as soon as my payment is confirmed. Once it is created, I lose my right to cancel, and the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
We repeat this in your receipt email.
Before your account is created
If your account has not been created yet, for example while a bank transfer has not arrived, you can cancel for a full refund of anything you have paid. Email prop@ombratrading.com from the address you bought with, or send us the cancellation form at the end of this page.
Refunds we always give
Whatever the timing, we refund the fee if:
- Our fault. Our systems or price data were at fault when a breach happened and the account cannot be reinstated (section 9.4 of the terms).
- We close. We close OmbraProp or stop offering prediction evaluations before you could use yours.
- We refuse or close your account before you trade, for example because you do not meet the eligibility rules in section 3 of the terms.
- The law requires it.
Resets of a prediction evaluation
A reset is a new order and works the same way. The new evaluation account is created as soon as the reset fee is confirmed, and from then the reset fee is not refunded. The refunds we always give (above) apply to a reset in the same way. A refund goes back by the method you paid with, as set out in section 6.4 of the prediction terms.
How resets work, and when one is offered, is set out in the prediction rules and section 4.8 of the terms.
How refunds are paid
A refund goes back by the same method you paid with. We send it within 10 working days of your request (for crypto, of you confirming the address). No refund is due once your evaluation account has been created, except in the cases above.
Crypto. The US dollar value you paid (the invoice price), minus the network fee for sending the refund; you pay that network fee and it is taken from the refund, except where the refund is due because we or our systems were at fault, when we pay it. We send it in the coin and on the network you paid with, to the sending address or another address you own or control that you give us by email from the address you bought with, after you confirm the address and network we repeat back to you. We convert at the rate on the day we send it, so the number of coins may differ from what you sent; changes in the coin's price are not refunded or charged to you. We cannot recover a refund sent to the address you confirmed.
Bank transfer. The amount we received, returned to the bank account it was sent from. We cannot send it to a different account. Your bank may charge you to receive it or convert it; we do not refund those charges.
PayPal. The amount you paid, returned to the PayPal account you paid with.
Fees. You bear your own bank, PayPal or network fees for sending the payment and for receiving the refund. We take nothing else off.
We do not take card payments directly for prediction evaluations. Crypto payments cannot be reversed by a bank or card dispute: if something is wrong with a payment, please email us first.
What is not refunded
- An evaluation or reset once its account has been created, whether you trade on it or not, pass or fail, unless one of the cases above applies.
- Your own bank, PayPal or network fees for sending the payment or receiving the refund.
- For crypto refunds: the network fee for sending the refund, except where the refund is due because we or our systems were at fault.
Examples
- You pay by bank transfer and change your mind before the money arrives: we cancel the order, and return the money if it arrives later.
- Your account is created and you decide the next day not to use it: no refund, because you asked for the account straight away.
- Your evaluation fails on the max loss: no refund. You may buy one reset at half the fee, which is also not refundable once its account is created.
- A fault in our price data causes a breach and the account cannot be reinstated: full refund.

You do not have to use this form. If you want to, copy it into an email to prop@ombratrading.com.
