Illustration with simulated data: Consistency rules that reset after each payout
Illustration with simulated data. Not real market prices.

A consistency rule caps how much of your profit can come from one day. On many funded accounts the count does not run for the life of the account: it starts again after each payout.

Say the limit is 40%. Since your last payout you have made $2,000, and your best day was $1,100. That day is 55% of the total, so you would need $2,750 in total ($1,100 / 0.4) before the next payout. That is $750 more, made on other days.

After the payout is approved, the history is cleared. Your next best day is measured only against profit made from that point on.

This cuts both ways. A big day just before a payout request can hold the payout up. A big day just after one sets a high bar for the whole next cycle.

Read when the count resets: on request, on approval, or on a calendar date. Then track two numbers after every session: your best day and your total since the last payout.

Ombra's free futures practice has a preset with this rule and a practice payout button, so you can see the meter reset.
