Your daily loss limit is a pause, not a fail
On many evaluations, reaching the daily loss limit stops trading for the rest of that session. The account carries on the next day with a fresh limit. Breaching the maximum loss is what ends an account. Check which applies on yours.
In the illustration, the day's P/L reaches the $1,000 daily limit and trading pauses. The next session starts again from zero.
The risk is what happens next. After a limit day it is tempting to size up and make it back. That turns a bad day into a failed account.
Treat the limit as a circuit breaker you set on purpose. Step away, write one line in your journal about what happened, and start the next session with your normal size.
If you keep reaching the limit, consider setting a personal limit below the firm's, so your own rule stops you first.
Education only. Not advice. Trading futures carries risk of loss; evaluations use simulated accounts.
